A Western Union money flip is a type of scam in which fraudsters will claim you can turn a small investment of $100, $200, $300 into $1,000, $2,000 or $3,000 by using what they call ‘a simple hack’ or by supposedly ‘exploiting a quirk in the monetary system’.
Sometimes they even provide so-called ‘text proof’ that their money flip system works. Don’t be fooled, however, if it sounds too good to be true then it’s not.
The scammers claim that they use special software to hack into the servers of Western Union and then manipulate the amount of money that is held there. They will then ask for a few minutes to do this and flip the money you invested. Once you send them money through Western Union, however, you will never hear from them again and your money is gone.
