The Yu-Gi-Oh! (yugioh) trading card game is a collectible card game produced by the Japanese company Konami. Based on the Duel Monsters game that was created by manga artist Kazuki Takahashi.
Launched in 1999 in Japan and three years later in the US, it became the top selling card game in the world as accredited by the Guinness World records in 2009 having sold more than 22 billion cards around the world.
Yugioh trading cards are used in the game by being drawn from each player’s respective decks and then being played in the field. Each player’s deck contains between 40 and sixty cards as well as an optional deck of an additional 15 cards. As well as these 15 cards there is an additional optional ‘extra deck’ that also contains 15 cards which can be used by players to swap cards from their main deck or an extra deck between games.
