Weaning a Toddler of breastfeeding can be a stressful and confusing time so you need to take it slowly and try as much as possible to give him or her as much comfort and cuddles to make the change over much easier.
The main and first tip is never to offer to feed but never refuse either.
Some toddlers wean off easier than others but if you have to start from your side because of personal reasons like going back to work or toddler going to pre-grade school then you must start the process yourself.
Drop one breastfeed at a time and try doing it on the daytime then once the daytime is stopped the move to nighttime.
Try and do the stopping each feed a few days apart and then shorten each drop by a day at the time depending on how much he or she feeds.
Lastly, if your toddler has early morning wake-up calls for a feed let your partner get up and cup feed instead.
