If you’re visiting Miami Beach with kids, there is more for them to do than you might think. One of the most popular family oriented attractions is the Miami Children’s Museum, a non-profit institution which was established in 1983. The museum has dozens of interactive exhibits and themed play areas, including a model cruise ship that kids can build, an educational exhibit on the Port of Miami, and an aquarium featuring kids’ artwork. The popular museum also features classrooms, an auditorium, restaurant and gift shop and is the ideal place to host a birthday party, family reunion or other event. It isn’t the only kid friendly attraction in Miami Beach, a city more often associated with nightlife. Other places to visit with the children include the 30 acre Flamingo Park, the Seaquarium, and the chance to see the city from the water on a catamaran tour.
