Tips For At Home Dog Training

Dogs are amazing animals that bring joy to our lives. Unfortunately, they can also be a lot of work, especially when it comes to training them. Here are a few tips for at home dog training:

Be consistent. Dogs need rules that are enforced consistently. If you allow them to get away with things one day, they will expect it the next day, and it will be harder to train them later. Make sure you are consistent with your commands and rewards. If you tell your dog to sit one day and then stay the next day, they will likely become confused and not respond correctly.

Start young. The younger a dog is, the easier it is to train them. Puppies are eager to learn and typically pick up new commands quickly.

Be patient. It takes time for dogs to learn new commands. Don’t get discouraged if your dog doesn’t seem to be catching on right away. Keep practicing regularly, and eventually, they will get the hang of it.

Use positive reinforcement.
