Years after you’ve given birth, reading through your pregnancy journal can be a wonderful reminder of those nine months. A journal can be just as meaningful at the time you are writing it too, and many women find that writing one helps them to relax and cope with the stresses and changes that come with being pregnant. Although there’s no right or wrong way to write a journal of your pregnancy, the ideal journal focuses on how you feel, what your thoughts are, and it should include the anxious and stressful times as well as the more joyful moments. A journal is more interesting if it contains other things too, such as letters, menus, what was on TV, postcards, anything to personalize it. Ideally, start writing your journal as soon as you know you are pregnant, and try to write at least a couple of entries a week.
